I was what you would call a modern day widow. I was a single mom for 20 years. I remember loneliness, dealing with rejection. I remember depression. It felt like I was abandoned with three small children to raise on my own.

I would ask myself, “What’s going to happen to us now? I don’t know how we are going to make it.” My world, my hopes, my dreams for family were shattered and I didn’t know what to do with it. It produced a lot of anxiety in my life for a long time.

But through it I discovered this amazing love that sustained me and my kids and was there in the dark times as well as the good times. Through Jesus I found complete unconditional love and acceptance.
