Hi, my name is Ethan Bong and I am from Malaysia. To start things off. I was born a Catholic and baptized at birth and I guess you could say that my spiritual life has been one heck of a ride. I first experienced God around the age of 7.           I was in the swimming pool with my friends at the Hilton hotel, I was on a water float and my friend accidentally pushed me off to the deep end. At that time I didn't know how to swim, I was drowning. Water was filling my lungs and I was out of breath. It was then when I realised. I was going to die. But here I am, living and breathing. But it was at that moment when I first experienced God in all his power, and it was only by his will that I am here today. Till today, I am grateful for what God has done for me. But I have been side-tracked and I have placed my priorities elsewhere and not in God. So maybe the trip to Krakow is God's way of telling me to get closer to him and to know him better.           In the end. I guess what I really want to get out of this program is to experience a closer relationship with God and to understand what it really means to be a Catholic. Also, I challenge anyone who reads this to take time and think of your own personal relationship with God and see if you can make him on the top of your priority list.
