true meaning of my life

I had this question always in my mind i.e., What is the meaning of life? I thought we got only one life so enjoy it to the fullest with our friends, family, and other people as fun, party, movie, etc. So I started "enjoying" my life. I got into a lot of bad habits. When I was in college I had many friends and they all are from another background. We enjoyed ourselves together and several times I used to drink with them. We went to parties and did other bad habits. I was living in a hostel so my parents gave me money for hostel fees, but I spent that money with my friends. After college, I joined one finance company and at that time also I did all the wrong things, and most of the money I earned was used for my friends. Sunday was free but I chose not to go to Church, only a few times I went to Church, and the rest of the time I used to watch movies. Even though I was enjoying my life, I had a lot of tension and life was without any hope. I felt a great vacuum in the midst of all entertainment.

One day one of my friends came into my room and introduced one verse from the Bible. The verse says, "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit". That verse got stuck in my heart. That day I realized that I was wrong and I decided to leave this kind of habit. Still, I had some other bad habits and I was living a confused life. After some days I met one person and he told me that we need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who gives hope and peace in our life. I thought born in a Christian family gives you a relationship with Christ. He told me that one needs to personally invite Christ into his life. He showed me a verse in a Bible that says  Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him”. On April ___ 2016 I confessed my sins and  invited Christ into my life as my personal Saviour and Lord.

After I started my new relationship with  Jesus Christ, I started experiencing peace in my heart. Now I don't feel the vacuum. I found hope and meaning in my life. Slowly I was able to overcome my all bad habits. My family members are also happy because I am a changed person now. I  learned to pray and also I am able to pray for others. I started to read the Word of God and it becomes more meaningful to me. Now I am living my life with real enjoyment in God's presence.

If you are not satisfied in your life, if you have no peace and if you are searching for meaning in life. Let me tell you the truth, that believe in Jesus Christ and He will give you peace in your life and He will satisfy you. Jesus says in John 14:6 "I am the way,  and the truth and the Life. No one comes to Father except through me" He is ready to come into your life. Would you commit your life to Him?
