I started going to church as a baby with my parents. We went every Sunday and I also went to Sunday School(religia). I knew many facts about Jesus but I didn't know Jesus personally. When I was in grade school, our neighbors invited my sister & me to a Bible club. There I learned more about Jesus and also invited Jesus into my heart, but I really didn't understand what that meant. I continued to go to church but really wasn't growing spiritually. When I was in high school, I remember a girl saying that when she died, she was going to heaven. I thought that she was very proud. When I finished high school, I went to nurses' training and my roommate was a Christian. I started attending a Bible study and reading the Bible. As I read the Bible, I read I John 5:11-13 " And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these thing to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have Eternal life." When I read this, I remembered that as a child, I invited Jesus into my life. He was my Savior. I had eternal life. I did not have to be afraid of death or of going to hell. I continued to read the Bible. I read that God wants to be first in our lives and He wants us to share with others about Jesus. I said, No Way! I will never do that! But I continued to read the Bible and understood that the Holy Spirit lives within me and He gives me the power and desire to be obedient. He will work through me to share about Jesus. So I started talking with others about Jesus and still do today. I have been walking with Jesus for over 40 years and it is a great adventure. Jesus gives us a plan and a purpose for this life and gives us eternal life through His Son, Jesus! So, come on, and start this great adventure with Jesus!!
