My story of Freedom
I was raised in a Christian home but never applied the Bible to my life.
I had to learn things the hard way.
My story begins when I moved to Ohio.
I had discovered the bike trails in the area and set out to explore them.
One day I set out to ride one of the trails all the way through with out looking at a map.
I found myself more lost than I had ever been before.
After several hours pass, I stopped to ask someone for directions.
He told me a way that I did not go earlier and I got even more lost.
Then, I stopped in front of a church in the National Park with one percent battery left on the phone.
I stopped to call a friend, and he told me the way home.
The next day my friends uncle asked me if I had thought God was trying to tell me something about the experience.
Looking back it was very clear that I had been not only lost physically but also lost spiritually.
This didn’t make much sense because I had rejected my Military training and also what I had been taught as a child.
I had been told throughout my life at church that “we are sinners we will sin”,
this is exactly the way I had been living.
When I had listened to advice that got me even more lost on the bike trail,
I had discovered that who you choose to listen to is very important.
Everything changed when I heard a street preacher on Youtube quote John 14:15
"If you love Me, keep My commandments.
I had never heard anyone preach on this.
Hearing this was like the direction I had received in front of that church.
I began to obey Jesus and trust in him,
this is when Jesus became my Lord.
Something amazing happened, I no longer was lost and in darkness.
All of the chains I had placed on myself had been broken by the awesome power of God.
My relationship with my Mother was restored completely after many difficult years.
19 years of addiction had been destroyed.
The bible says “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
I had learned the hard way that everything my Grandmother told me growing up about Jesus was true.
Jesus answered them,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
And a slave does not abide in the house forever,
but a son abides forever.
Therefore if the Son makes you free,
you shall be free indeed.
He who has My commandments and keeps them,
it is he who loves Me.
And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father,
and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."
This video is about the Living God
that showed me great love by healing me with His great power!
